About the Site

My secret motive for the images that appear at the top of this site was to pay tribute to some of the best science-fiction movies (in my opinion) of all time. The challenge was to do it in a way that did not make the site look like garish or gaudy with brightly colored movie posters.

With some inspiration from Steve Guynup's work on the site for "The Bud Foote Science Fiction Collection" at Georgia Tech, I did a little work mirroring and distorting still photos from the movies to create an image that I think meets my goal.
